WHY SHOULD ONE INVEST IN SOLAR PANEL

Why should one invest in solar panels? Solar panels rely solely on the energy of the sun to generate electricity. This means that opposite to fossil fuels, solar panels use the renewable energy of the sun, i.e solar to create electricity which is then used by households and businesses. Moreover, photovoltaic are silent and green, unlike other sources of energy that can be very noisy and pollutant, like coal, oil drilling and nuclear power. Solar panels do not release any greenhouse gases and don’t pollute in the process of generating electricity. Once installed, solar energy is completely free. Using solar panels as a source of energy will save you money on your bills since you will use less from your power supplier. You can cover most or even all of your  needs with solar panels, therefore you can save a lot in your  bills. It is also true that solar panels only work during the day, so if you need electricity during nighttime you will have to use the energy from the grid. However, you can always organize your activities in such way that most of the energy de-pendant tasks are done during the day. And there are a lot of benefits of using a solar energy inverter. It is a clean and renewable energy that is emission-free and saves the environment, as opposed to fossil fuels, which pollute the air and can harm the environment. When compared to the national grid, which is so expensive and not reliable or consistent in supplying electricity to power our homes and businesses, solar energy is a cost-effective option. Once the solar system is installed, very little maintenance required. Just one professional check per year will be enough to ensure that your solar  panels are working to their maximum efficiency. It is also good to check your solar panel once in a while that the surface is clean and has not been blocked by leaves or other obstacles.  Solar panels are a great solution as they will allow you to generate your own and free electricity. what is the cost of electricity in nigeria

Nigeria’s electricity crisis is so bad that people are spending three times more running back-up generators and yet they say solar is expensive The cost of energy consumed in Nigerian households since December 2021 has been estimated to be close to 23.6 Nigerian naira per kilowatt hour, or roughly 0.06 U.S. dollars, according to a research report on the subject. The cost of industrial electrical energy, on the other hand, was about 38.5 NGN per kilowatt hour, or about 0.09 US dollars. Even today, the cost of power is expected to rise from 38.5 cents to 40-45 cents per kilowatt. Another report from premiumtimeng said that six of the 11 power Distribution Companies (DISCOs) in Nigeria had received authorisation from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to raise tariff rates starting in February 2022. According to a NERC memo cited by the NATION on Thursday, the regulator argued that its decision was required in light of an improvement in the performance of the DISCOs’ improvement programs. On December 29, 2021, the paper was released and jointly signed by NERC chairman Sanusi Garba and vice chairman Musiliu Oseni. Three months ago, in February, the hike went into effect. Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC), Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDC), and Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company are the organizations (KEDC). Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC), Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, and Jos Electricity Distribution Company are more ones (IBEDC). Before raising the tariff, NERC claimed to have taken other variables into account, including the price of gas, inflation, exchange rates, and available generation capacity. According to the document, users who purchased electricity in January 2022 for N50.72/kWh would begin paying N54.22/kWh in February. Those who purchased in January 2022 for N56.16/kWh were had to pay N60.67/kWh, while those who purchased in January 2022 for N56.64/kWh were forced to pay N59.64/kWh. Accordingly, the Commission issued the MYTO-2021 Extraordinary Tariff Order effective from July 1, 2021 in consideration of PHED’s CAPEX proposals over a 5-year plan in line with the authorized PIP, after the PIP of the PHED was accepted on April 30, 2021, according to the document. Therefore, in accordance with MYTO Methodology and Regulations, this MYTO-2022 order restates PHED’s approved 5-year CAPEX and pertinent assumptions used to predict revenue requirements and appropriate tariffs for the years 2021–2026. The Nigerian Electricity Tariff Review Process Electricity, electricity, electricity. This is the number one issue in Nigeria When you look at the cost of electricity in Africa’s largest economy, it immediately becomes clear why. On average Nigerians spend about NGN3,374 ($17) on their monthly electricity bills, according to data from Noip. However, the erratic distribution of power has always compelled folks to seek alternative sources—primarily back-up generators, which bumps up the costs households and businesses spend on electricity quite significantly. On average the monthly cost for the fuel to run these generators adds an additional NGN9,529 ($48) to a household’s bill. That is three times the cost of direct supply. Yet people say solar is expensive.   Is solar really expensive? vanpeux solarity is the way out, Read more on how to reduce electricity bill

Renewable Energy Increase Productivity Of People

When the sun goes down in Nigeria, About 80 million Nigerians living in 8000 villages across the country lack access to electricity. 75% being children “Millions more suffer from poor service. Nigeria has a bright future ahead of it. Productivity and growth will improve as Nigeria economies continue to place more emphasis on services and manufacturing, pursue commodity production, and achieve quick gains in agriculture and light industry. Urban areas will have to reduce environmental stresses by promoting low-carbon energy systems, electric mass transportation, and energy-efficiency initiatives, as well as the use of cleaner cooking fuels. And rural areas can create new opportunities that reduce the need for urban migration, by expanding renewable energy systems and energy access. But even with these measures, providing enough energy for a modern, inclusive economy will not be easy. Nigeria already experiences frequent power outages, even though more than 70 million people do not have access to electricity, and current demand is relatively modest. To avoid the harmful spillover effects of high-carbon economic growth, Nigeria will have to undergo a “climate smart” energy revolution. We will need to build climate-resilient infrastructure and tap into the continent’s abundant renewable-energy resources. Doing so will broaden access to energy, create green jobs, reduce environmental pollution, and enhance energy security by diversifying sources. Rather than treating new climate-related risks as hurdles to overcome, we should view them as opportunities for investment and innovation. We are standing on the threshold of an exciting new era in which technological progress allows us to use a range of conventional and unconventional energy options (excluding nuclear energy). At the same time, renewable-energy sources are becoming less expensive, making them increasingly competitive with fossil-fuel alternatives. Vanpeux Global Synergy Limited is on a mission to make distributed renewable energy accessible for all. We know that clean, affordable, reliable solar energy improves education, health, employment and environmental outcomes. We are a for profit social enterprise because we recognize that responsible business is the best model to maximise the scale and impact of energy access. Nigeria has a chance to bring hundreds of millions of people without electricity into the modern economy; and we have an opportunity to pioneer the next investment frontier. Getting Nigeria’s energy transformation right, by pursuing a mix of policies and investments that boost diversity and strengthen resilience, will ensure a brighter future for us all.

Why is Women’s Empowerment Important in 2022

Why is Women’s Empowerment Important in 2022? We believe that men and women should have equal opportunities for employment in the clean energy sector. Therefore, we are involved in preparing more women for the renewable energy sector as solar distributors, designers, installers, and engineers. . Women are underrepresented in the energy sector, our goal is to train and mentor more women to be skilled for jobs in the sector as employees or to drive solutions for the market as solar entrepreneurs. Vanpeux Solarity- The social enterprise offers training to women in Lagos and other parts of rural Nigeria to distribute clean energy, which leaves them with an electricity source and a business to boot. Meet Mrs Chinere Mrs Chinere, a mother of four from the Eastern Region in Nigeria, is one such entrepreneur. While a government project has funded electricity poles and wires in her area, the connection cost was prohibitive for most people she knew. Hearing about Vanpeux Solarity from her daughter, Isabella saved the profits from her potato farm and invested in the training. Now she sells large solar systems and a few smaller ones that can also charge mobile phones. Solar lights enable students to study for longer into the evening, relieve families of the damaging health effects of kerosene and enable people to start new businesses or improve old ones since they have more usable hours in the day. “The conscious creation of trust networks and entrepreneurial solutions to poverty add value to this social enterprise through empowering women to create new economic and social opportunities.”   WHY WE DECIDED TO EMPOWER WOMEN THROUGH SOLAR ENERGY Women are among the key beneficiaries, since evidence shows they disproportionately bear the burden of energy poverty. Distributing renewable energy solutions in this way bolsters the position of women in the local community, both economically and socially.
